Average…

I'm not one that likes to settle for average but what if average is your best? Some will tell you that average is simply not good enough... BULL! I know a TON of "average" people that are doing some pretty amazing things right now. We live in a society that says average will get you no where, FAST! I can't stand it when I see/hear parents or kids for that matter talk about being average. I might be at a sporting event or even at church and hear this kind of talk. It drives me CRAZY! Listen, just because your kid isn't the best athlete on the team or knows the most Bible verses doesn't mean they can't be used in some way.

I've seen too many parents "give up" on their kid because they aren't starting on the basketball team or are struggling w/ their relationship w/ God. I consider myself an "average" guy and I will no longer tolerate someone saying that I do not have a capacity to lead or to do a certain task. I may be average but God is still going to use me!

It's time to start allowing our kids to fail so they can understand what "average" is all about. If we continue to make the path for them how will they ever know what it's like to succeed or fail on their own? I thank my parents for allowing me to participate in as many extra-curricular activities as I wanted to but would not tolerate me missing something that would grow me spiritually.

In my opinion, Average can be a WORLD CHANGER!
